with the National and University Library of Strasbourg (BNU)

Venue : Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire, place de la République

The Departement of Scandinavian Studies at the University of Strasbourg and its cultural association Cercle Nordique organise in collaboration with the National and University Library of Strasbourg the Third Congress of the Association for Nordic studies (Association pour les Études Nordiques, APEN) in Strasbourg June 12-14, 2019. The research groups EA1341 Etudes germaniques et nord-européennes, EA1339 Linguistique, Langue et Parole (LiLPa) and l’UMR DynamnE also participate in the organisation. This event aims at unifying researchers and PhD-students coming from different disciplines, institutions and countries while respecting and strengthening the different approaches that are used in the vast area of Nordic studies. The organising committee welcomes thus papers and panels coming from all disciplines and research traditions and makes no distinctions between the subjects and periods that are considered – the scientific quality will be the only selection criterion.

Abstracts for papers or panels (three to six papers) should be submitted on the congress web site : https://apen2019.sciencesconf.org before February 10 2019. The abstract for a paper should be max. 300 words, followed by a biographical note of the author of max. 200 words. A proposition for a panel should contain an abstract of the joint topic of the panel (max. 200 words) and the abstracts of the respective papers (max. 300 words) followed by a biographical and bibliographical note for each author (max. 200 words). The main conference language will be French but papers and panels can be submitted and held in English.
